STEM Partners Earn Superintendent's AwardPosted on 05/09/2018On April 25th, 2018, individuals who helped our Cartwright students thrive in the STEM for Girls initiative were honored with the Superintendent's Award of Excellence. They include members of Aguila's Youth Leadership Institute, Intel and Iridescent employees as well as district employees: Deirdre Shetler, Laura Gill and Giovanna Giosa. Intel Engineers supported the students and their families. Iridescent led the STEM training with our parents and instructors in Spanish and English. Two cohorts of students and parents would complete five hands-on learning STEM sessions at three Cartwright schools, Glenn L. Downs, C.W. Harris, and Estrella Middle School. In the end, over 200 students and families participated in the innovation!
