• The mission of the Professional Learning Communities Department is to ensure high levels of student achievement through the use of researched based structures that support: inclusive professional collaboration, adult and student clarity, consistent response to intervention, action research, the building of strong relationships that support learning, and high expectations for all.


    Kristi Langley-Wells has been employed by the Cartwright School District for 32 years. She earned her BA from the University of Wyoming. She earned her MA and EDS from Nova Southeastern University. Kristi has served as principal at the Pre-K, Elementary, and Middle School Levels. Her most recent principalship was at Sunset Elementary where they were labeled an A by the State of Arizona for 8 straight years and counting. While principal at Sunset the school was also recognized as one of less than 200 schools whose data and use of PLC Structures places them on the All Things PLC Website. Kristi was also named a Rodel Principal of the Year in 2017. Her desire to come to the district office was to support schools in research-based structures that would increase student achievement.
