The Cartwright Virtual Academy is an accredited Arizona Online Instruction (AOI) school.  Our mission is to provide our scholars with a high-quality, rigorous, yet flexible learning opportunity that prepares them for high school, college, and career.

All students will access their course content on a district-provided laptop through Google Classroom.  Schedules and links to teachers’ student support hours will be available in Google Classroom.  All instructional materials will be added to Google Classroom or available on Clever.  Attendance is taken through the use of electronic time logs that parents must submit through ParenVUE. All parents and students are expected to complete an onboarding class that will explain how to access and use Google Classroom, Clever, and ParentVUE.

Monday through Thursday, students will log in to Google Classroom and join live morning meetings, student support hours and complete their assignments.  Although live sessions with their teachers will be held during the traditional school day, students will have access to their assignments 24 hours a day and may complete work any day of the week or any time of the day, as long as all assignments are completed by Sunday evening.

Interested families are encouraged to review our Full-Time Equivalency Form (linked here) with the list of Arizona requirements for participation in an AOI school. You can also check out our CVA support site (linked here) for more information about the school and the programs we use. For any additional questions, please reach out to us at 623-691-3900.

The Cartwright Virtual Academy is open to all Kindergarten through 8th Grade scholars that reside in the State of Arizona, and are interested in a flexible option that allows learning from home.  High-quality lessons are developed by Cartwright’s very own highly qualified, state-certified teaching staff utilizing Cartwright’s brand new, cutting-edge curriculum.  Lessons can be completed at any time. However, the teachers will be offering regular office hours for one-on-one support and small group instruction.  All scholars will be receiving their own Chromebook laptop to complete their assignments from home, and for those families that need it, the district will provide support with internet access.

We know that online instruction is not for everyone, so you are encouraged to review the Arizona State requirements for enrollment in an online instruction program.  For those who still have questions, need more information or are simply ready to enroll, please give us a call.  We are excited about this new opportunity, and we are standing by to support you with your next steps.
