    Superintendent 

    Dr. LeeAnn Aguilar-Lawlor is the Superintendent of the Cartwright School District, serving as the first female Superintendent since her appointment on March 6th, 2019. With an impressive background of 35 years in education, she has held various roles including teacher, assistant principal, principal, and Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services at Cartwright.
     
    Dr. Aguilar-Lawlor's dedication to education extends beyond the classroom. She served as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force Reserves, where she was activated during Operation Desert Storm as a medical specialist. Driven by her passion for learning, she earned her Bachelors in Education from the University of Arizona, Masters in Educational Leadership from the University of Phoenix, and Doctorate of Education in Leadership and Innovation from Arizona State University.
     
    She is married and a proud mother of two wonderful children, Gabriela and Maximo. Dr. Aguilar-Lawlor takes pride in serving the Cartwright District and the Maryvale community. She firmly believes in the excellence of the scholars, families, and staff across the district, recognizing them as among the best in the state and nation. Dr. Aguilar-Lawlor places a strong emphasis on collaboration, listening to stakeholders, and ensuring that everyone feels valued.
     
    Her unwavering belief in the high academic potential of all scholars fuels her commitment to prepare them for success on a global scale. With the motto of "One Team, Una Familia!" at heart, Dr. Aguilar-Lawlor remains dedicated to fostering an inclusive and empowering educational environment within the Cartwright School District.

     

  • Patricia LopezPatricia Lopez
    Executive Director of School Leadership

    Patricia Lopez has more than 34 years of experience as a teacher and administrator. She has taught special education, regular education, and ELL. She was an assistant principal of a K-6 school, principal of an elementary and middle school, the Director of Teaching and Learning, and currently is the Executive Director for School Leadership. Patricia has done extensive work in professional development with teachers and school administrators in the areas of curriculum and instruction and Visible Learning. She has also worked as a facilitator with governing board members and served for 10 years as a Governing Board Member in her home district. Patricia is a former foster parent, surrogate parent for students in foster care who needed special education services, and is currently the founder of the Krystal Lopez Memorial Scholarship Fund, which serves to provide scholarships to teens fighting cancer.

    Executive Assistant

    Christine Santos has been in the Cartwright School District, since February 2006. She is currently one of two Executive Assistants to the Superintendent and Governing Board. Christine is passionate about serving the community of the Cartwright School District and loves working in education to assist students and their families.

    Executive Assistant

    Linda Parker is the Executive Coordinator for Superintendent Dr. LeeAnn Aguilar-Lawlor. She has been with the district since 1987 and has served the district and the community in several positions over the years.
