Phoenix Suns Charities Donates $2.6 million!Posted on 09/17/2019The Phoenix Suns Charities made a huge announcement at Byron A. Barry on Tuesday September, 17th. The Phx Suns Charities, donated $2.6 million to the Greater Phoenix Urban League's (GPhxUL) Head Start program. The GPhxUL program is housed at our preschool, Barry. Phoenix Suns owner Robert Sarver, understands the importance of early education and wanted to ensure further success of this program. This was the largest donation made a professional sports association for the advancement of education. City Councilman Michael Nowakowski and Councilwoman Laura Pastor, attended the big announcement along with our Superintendent Dr. LeeAnn Aguilar-Lawlor. This donation will go to further expanding GPhxUL's head start program all across the valley.
