Cartwright's Teacher of the Month NamedPosted on 12/11/20197/8th Grade Math/SEI Teacher, Diana Camacho is the Teacher of the Month for November! This is what Principal Ryan Anderson had to say about her, "As a former 7th grade math teacher, Ms. Camacho has taken on a new role this year as a member of our SEI team. She now teaches both 7th grade math and 8th grade algebra to mixed groups of English Language Learners. Not only is she learning new strategies to support students with their language needs, but she is also learning a new curriculum, 8th grade algebra. Ms. Camacho has reached out on multiple occasions to our ISS Kate Scidurlo, Assistant Principal Vallerie Miller and Assistant Director of Math and Science Ashley Hargrave, for support with lesson planning, feedback on her instruction, etc. It is impressive how eager she is to better herself as an educator and do what is best for her students. She has implemented many new and helpful strategies thus far, and is doing a fantastic job in her classroom. We are thankful for all of Ms. Camacho’s hard work and commend her for going the extra mile to be the very best she can be for her students." Also, special thanks to the Milwaukee Brewers who sponsors the award and provided our teacher with a goodie bag!
