How To Enroll

Students may attend any Cartwright school of their choice, provided space is available. For more information about our schools, click the links below to help select your preferred school. The Cartwright School District is an open-enrollment district. Families residing outside of The Cartwright School District may apply at any time during the year at any of our campuses where we have capacity. Complete the open enrollment forms in English or Spanish. For more information about Open Enrollment, click this Open Enrollment information link.

Complete the fillable Registration Packet (PDF) in English or Spanish and email it to [email protected] or print the packet and bring it to your school of choice. The fillable forms work best downloaded and opened with a PDF Reader like Adobe Acrobat™. Please sign and date the forms when you bring the packet to school. You can also pick up a registration packet at any of our schools.  

Please keep in mind that you may have to fill out additional documents when you go to your designated school and drop off your packet. You will need to bring the following documents with you. We will make copies of them and return the originals to you. Here is what you will need:

• A certified copy of your child's birth certificate or a baptismal certificate, or an application for a Social Security number

• Your child's immunization record

• Report card/withdrawal slip from the previous school

• Proof of residence - (requirements & additional forms not in the packet that may be needed are included below):

Early-Kinder Registration

Our district proudly utilizes an Early Entrance Kindergarten Readiness Screening Protocol for children who are not 5 years of age by September 1 but turn 5 before December 31st of the current school year AND as long as they are/were enrolled by Labor Day.  Please reach out to your school of choice for more information.
