The Cartwright Community Garden is a new, exciting, and rapidly growing space for our district and community. Our garden was built in collaboration with several community partners and houses almost 60 garden beds complete with irrigation, a composting station, a small outdoor kitchen, a stage, and plenty of room to grow.
We are dreaming big to continue developing the garden to bring even more opportunities for learning, involvement, events, and beautiful spaces to our community. We look forward to continuing to build the garden in collaboration with our Cartwright family in the coming years until it is a cornerstone of our Maryvale.
We’ve loved gathering for parent and community classes like garden workshops and classes, Chef In The Garden cooking classes, and physical activity classes like Zumba or bootcamp in the community garden and hope to see you at our next event! The garden has also been a great space for hosting large events like the City of Phoenix FoodDay and Junior League Healthfest!
