Cartwright School District Welcomes Teresa Tapia as Newly Appointed Governing Board Member

Phoenix, AZ — The Cartwright School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Teresa Tapia to the Cartwright School District Governing Board. Mrs. Tapia was appointed by the Maricopa County Superintendent and brings over 20 years of experience in patient care, small business ownership, and community service to her new role.

A lifelong Maryvale resident, Mrs. Tapia began her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant before going on to serve a decade as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. She later founded and managed her own business, demonstrating her leadership capabilities and deep commitment to her community.

Mrs. Tapia is no stranger to the Cartwright community. She first sought a seat on the Governing Board in 2024 and has since remained actively engaged — attending board meetings, pursuing professional development opportunities, and participating in district events.

As a board member, Mrs. Tapia is committed to:
