Our 8th grade students from Cartwright Elementary School, Marc T. Atkinson, and Desert Sands Middle School Academy of Mass Communications and Journalism had an amazing hands-on experience at the University of Arizona College of Medicine! 🩺✨ They toured the campus, learned about different areas of medicine, practiced CPR, treated patients in simulated scenarios, and even tried their hand at performing an ultrasound! 👏🏽💉

A big thank you to our new neighbors, Burlington, and the national nonprofit Adopt A Class, for their incredible support of Manuel "Lito" Peña Jr. Elementary School! 💙💛

Our very own Michelle Castro was recently surprised by the AZFamily Surprise Squad with a $5,000 gift to support the school’s volleyball team. 🏐
