💙 EMS Proudly Honors Our Veterans❤️ 🤍Our campus was thrilled to host our 3rd Annual Veteran Breakfast & Celebration to honor our community members that have served in the United States Armed Forces. The student led event was a huge success and we enjoyed having our community on campus! The Trevor Browne JROTC Color Guard presented the colors while Hannah Gomez sang a beautiful rendition of The Star Spangled Banner. Thank you to our beginning band students for the wonderful performance during breakfast. too! Our cheerleaders and the student council members engaged in conversations with our special guests. Many students submitted essays for the Patriotic Essay Contest and Camila shared hers from the podium. A special shout out to Jasmine, our ETV Morning News anchor for serving as the event emcee. The American Legion Riders made a grand entrance and meeting the bald eagle from Liberty Wildlife was a special experience this year. Thank you to our cafeteria manager, Yolanda, for cooking a delicious breakfast!
On November 11th, we will not have school. Please use your day off to celebrate and honor Veterans. Today, EMS sends a special thanks for your service and sacrifices to our great nation.

Students also shared thoughtful reflections on how they can make a difference right here in their own communities.✨
To wrap up National Hispanic Heritage Month, our students enjoyed a fun Lotería Lunch activity filled with laughter, music, and cultural pride! It was a great way to come together, celebrate our community’s diversity, and honor the rich traditions that make our school family so special. 💃🪅

AVID students had the chance to spend the class with "The Janimal" 🎨 and discuss graphic design. They even got to try their best at being comic book artists ✏️🖌️!
The College & Career Expo during lunch 🍎🏫 was well attended and supported by community outreach staff from over 10 different organizations 🤝.
"Because of AVID, I..." 💬 is a powerful conversation starter. Think, consider, and talk about what you’ve already learned at EMS this year.
A few responses from our day:
✅ am being more organized
✅ have started planning for my future
✅ learned how to take notes
✅ have made new friends
✅ can communicate better
💪 Stay focused and achieve your goals! 🌟

Our students had the opportunity to celebrate by coloring flags from Spanish-speaking countries. It was a fun and creative way to learn and honor the rich cultures that make up our community.
Here are some photos from today’s activity — enjoy! 📸
Thank you for supporting and celebrating with us! ❤️💛💚
Our students took on the Marshmallow Tower Challenge! Using only spaghetti, tape, string, and a single marshmallow on top, teams worked together to design and build the tallest, most stable tower. A fun, hands-on activity that sparked teamwork, problem-solving, creative thinking—and plenty of laughs along the way!

Congratulations to our STARS who earned and purchased a ticket to attend the PBIS Reward Luau celebrating the first month of school! 🌺
The Paradise Island Dancers performed a variety of cultural dances representing Fiji, Samoa, Hawai‘i, and New Zealand. Students and staff even had the chance to join in for a quick lesson on traditional island dances.
A huge thank you to our staff and parent volunteers who helped make this event a success. Students enjoyed limbo, coconut bowling, ukulele strumming, glitter tattoos, and a refreshing fruit drink complete with an umbrella straw!
