Governing Board Approves 2026–2027 School Year Calendar
The Cartwright School District Governing Board has officially approved the 2026–2027 school year calendar at its most recent meeting, helping families and staff plan ahead for another exciting year of learning.
The first day of school for students will be Tuesday, August 4, 2026, following teacher in-service days at the end of July and early August. The school year will conclude on Friday, May 21, 2027, with a half day for students.
Throughout the year, the calendar includes important breaks and holidays such as Fall Recess in October, Winter Recess in late December, and Spring Recess in March. Families can also plan for Parent-Teacher Conferences in both the fall and spring semesters.
With 180 instructional days, the calendar is designed to support student success while providing meaningful breaks for students, staff, and families.
