Peralta Elementary recently hosted a successful end-of-the-year literacy event, bringing together students and families for an engaging celebration of reading.
Families in attendance enjoyed a strong turnout and took part in activities designed to encourage literacy at home. Each student received 10 free books to help build their personal home libraries, along with a reading-themed T-shirt. In addition, families had the opportunity to participate in a raffle featuring a variety of exciting prizes.
The event also focused on empowering parents with practical strategies to support reading outside the classroom. Staff shared simple, everyday approaches families can use to keep students engaged in literacy throughout the summer months.
Peralta Elementary continues to demonstrate its commitment to fostering a love of reading and ensuring students have the tools and encouragement they need to grow academically beyond the school year.
