A special election will be held in Cartwright Elementary School District No. 83 of Maricopa County,
Arizona (the “District”), on November 3, 2026. The purpose of the election is to permit the qualified
electors of the District to vote on authorizing the District to adopt a General Maintenance and Operation
Budget that includes an amount of up to 15% in excess of the District’s revenue control limit for the fiscal
year 2027/2028 and for six (6) subsequent years (subject to certain reductions provided by statute in years
six and seven).
The District’s current 15% budget override is by law required to be reduced by one-third in fiscal years
2028/2029 and 2029/2030. Because the existing override does not begin reducing until fiscal year
2028/2029, the proposed 15% override budget will equal the 2027/2028 alternate budget. The full budget
override amount is estimated to be $14,110,701 and would be funded by an estimated tax rate of $3.55
per one hundred dollars of net assessed valuation for secondary property tax purposes, which is
approximately equal to the current tax rate levied for the existing override. In future years the amount of
the increase will be as provided by law.

Se llevará a cabo una elección especial en el Distrito Escolar Primario Núm. 83 de Cartwright del
Condado de Maricopa, Arizona (el “Distrito”), el 3 de noviembre de 2026. El propósito de la elección es
permitir que los electores con derecho a voto del Distrito voten sobre una autorización al Distrito para
adoptar un Presupuesto General de Mantenimiento y Operaciones que incluye una cantidad de hasta el

tasada utilizada para fines de impuestos secundarios a la propiedad, lo que es aproximadamente igual que
