Eighth-grade students from Cartwright Elementary School, Marc T. Atkinson Middle School, Desert Sands Middle School Academy of Mass Communications and Journalism, and Estrella Prep Academy recently participated in the Connect2STEM event at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix.
Students had the chance to explore different areas of health care through engaging, hands-on experiences. They practiced CPR, treated patients in simulated medical scenarios, and even performed ultrasounds, all while learning about potential future careers in medicine and science.
The University of Arizona highlighted our students’ enthusiasm and participation in a recent article celebrating the event. We are so proud to see our scholars dreaming big and discovering pathways to future success in the health sciences.
