Fourth-grade students at Starlight Park College Preparatory and Community School had an exciting opportunity to learn about healthy eating and gardening from Stephen Ritz, founder of Green Bronx Machine. During his visit, Ritz shared his passion for fresh food and the benefits of growing their own produce, sparking enthusiasm among students.

Thanks to the efforts of our Food Service Department, the school also received a Tower Garden, allowing students to gain hands-on experience in growing vegetables and herbs right in their own learning environment. This initiative not only supports nutrition education but also encourages students to make healthier food choices.
