Help Yourself at Tax Time and Help to Boost Scholar Success
You can help yourself at tax time and help to boost Cartwright scholars’ success when you take advantage of Arizona’s school tax credit donation program.
It’s super easy.
The Arizona Tax Credit program (A.R.S. 43-1089.01) allows taxpayers to donate up to $400 ($200 for individuals) to a school of their choice in support of extracurricular programs. Taxpayers then get their entire donation back in the form of a tax credit.
In other words, you’re getting every penny back that you’re putting in.
Your generosity will fund critical extracurricular activities, such as after- school enrichment clubs, after-school tutoring, field trips, student leadership training and more!
Last year, these funds enabled scholars from Glenn L. Downs Social Sciences Academy to tour the nation’s capital, while other contributions allowed students from Desert Sands Middle School Academy of Mass Communication and Journalism to take an educational trip to Disneyland.
Studies show students active in extracurricular activities earn better grades and stay in school.
The state tax credit is available to all qualifying individual Arizona state taxpayers. You do not need to have a child enrolled in a school to take advantage of this state tax credit.
Taxpayers who donate by April 15 can choose which calendar year to apply the credits.
So don’t delay. Donate now to make a difference in your life and the lives of Cartwright scholars!
