LeeAnn LawlorDr. Leeann Aguilar-Lawlor was appointed Superintendent on March 6th, 2019. She is the first female Superintendent of the Cartwright School District. Dr. Aguilar-Lawlor joined the Cartwright team in February 2012. She has twenty-nine years in education including serving in three districts as a teacher, assistant principal, principal and as an Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services at Cartwright. She served in the United States Air Force Reserves as a Staff Sergeant and was activated during Operation Desert Storm to serve overseas as a medical specialist.


She earned her Bachelors in Education at the University of Arizona, Masters in Educational Leadership at the University of Phoenix and her Doctorate of Education in Leadership and Innovation at Arizona State University. She is married and a proud mother of two amazing children, Gabriela and Maximo. One of her most gratifying experiences was serving as the first principal of Rio Vista School, in the Pendergast School District where she served in this capacity for ten years. In this position, she facilitated a professional learning community of teachers and parent organizations that helped them become a high-achieving school, including earning an "A" rating by the Arizona Department of Education in 2012.

Dr. Aguilar Lawlor believes collaborating and ensuring all stakeholders have continuous opportunities to provide input and share ideas is extremely important. She also believes all students are capable of high academic success and our responsibility is to prepare all of our students to be college and career ready.

Patricia Lopez has more than 34 years of experience as a teacher and administrator. She has taught special education, regular education and ELL. She was an assistant principal of a K-6 school, principal of an elementary and middle school, the Director of Teaching and Learning and currently is the Executive Director for School Leadership. Patricia has done extensive work in professional development with teachers and school administrators in the areas of curriculum and instruction and Visible Learning. She has also worked as a facilitator with governing board members and served for 10 years as a Governing Board Member in her home district. Patricia is a former foster parent, surrogate parent for students in foster care who needed special education services and is currently the founder of the Krystal Lopez Memorial Scholarship Fund, which serves to provide scholarships to teens fighting cancer. Patricia’s passion is to improve learning for all students and provide support to teachers and administrators so that they can grow professionally and create great schools for our families. Patricia believes in the power of teachers, parents, and administrators working together to provide students with high quality and well-rounded education. She has studied the work of John Hattie and believes in the philosophy that we are "Evaluators of our Own Impact."

Her Vision as the Executive Director of Leadership: To provide principals with support and help them grow as strong instructional leaders on their campus and create a culture and climate that includes high quality and well-rounded educational experience for students, professional growth for teachers and a welcoming environment for families.

Linda Parker is the Executive Coordinator for Assistant Superintendent Dr. LeeAnn Lawlor in the Educational Services Department. She has been with the District since 1987 and has served the District and the community in several positions over the years.
The Executive Coordinator position supports the assistant superintendent for Educational Services and the six divisions within our department including Assessment and Data Management, Language Acquisition, Response to Intervention (RTI) & Accountability, Special Services, STEM & PLC (Professional Learning Communities), and Teaching & Learning.
The Educational Services department strives to Exceed Expectations.

Christine Santos has been in the Cartwright School District, since February 2006. She is currently one of two Executive Assistants to the Superintendent and Governing Board. Christine is passionate about serving the community of the Cartwright School District and loves working in education to assist students and their families.
