Assistant Superintendent of District Operations

Dr. Cecilia Sanchez is responsible for the operations of the following departments: B&O, Food Services, Information Technology, and Transportation. She previously was the Director of Special Services. She is passionate about equity in education and ensuring children who require special services receive the differentiated instruction they need to reach their fullest potential. Prior to her role as director, Dr. Sanchez was the proud principal of Manuel Peña Jr. Elementary from 2005-2012 and prior to that she served as Cartwright Elementary's assistant principal.

Executive Coordinator

Dawn Mayfield is the Executive Coordinator for Assistant Superintendent of District Operations. Dawn has been with the District since April 2014. She came to Cartwright District from VRide, a commuter vanpool company under contract with Valley Metro. Prior to serving with Valley Metro, Dawn served as an Administrative Assistant for Prometric Testing & Sylvan Learning Center in Goodyear, AZ. Dawn also served as an Administrative Assistant in the US Marine Corps Reserves for 6 years. Dawn has a B.A. in Diversified General Studies from Hope International University in Fullerton, CA.

An Executive Coordinator is the first level of Executive Support for the Financial & Auxiliary Services. Serving as an intermediary and providing assistance to seven departments: Energy Education; Business Services; Safety & Risk Management; Buildings and Operations; Food Services; Technology Support; Federal Services and Grants and Transportation.
