Both the student and the parents are responsible for following the school uniform policy. We are a mandatory school uniform school and will require the following:
TOPS: Only collared or turtleneck shirts with short of long sleeves in the following colors; WHITE, LIGHT BLUE, RED, DARK GREEN, AND NAVY BLUE. Decorative trim or buttons may only be worn if it is part of the “official” uniform. Shirts may not be altered. All shirttails must be tucked in.
BOTTOMS: Navy blue and khaki colored uniform bottoms. No denim, stripes, or cargo style. Uniforms must not be more than one size larger than the child’s waist size. Baggy uniforms are not acceptable!
GIRLS: Uniform type shorts, skirts, pants, jumpers, or skorts. Except for long pants, all hemlines must be within the range of 3” above or 3” below the knee.
BOYS: Uniform type pants or shorts. The 3” rule applies to shorts.
BELTS: Belts and buckles cannot have initials or logos, and belts must not be more than one size larger than the student’s waist.
SHOES/LACES: Closed toed shoes with no heels exceeding 1” in height. No platform or sandal type shoes. Laces should match shoe color. Acceptable shoe colors: white, black, brown, or navy blue.
SOCKS/STOCKINGS: Must be a solid color. No lace trim.
OPTIONAL UNIFORM ITEMS: Girls may wear navy blue or khaki shorts under their skirts and jumpers, but must not show below the hemline. Navy blue and khaki colored vests, ties, pullovers, or cardigan sweaters with shirt collar showing may be worn.
- No logos on any uniform clothing
- No undergarments may show
- No sunglasses, hats, caps, or bandanas (any exception must have a doctor’s note on file)
- No make-up or other materials or markings added to skin surface or hair (this includes temporary tattoos)
- No false fingernails
- Excessive or expensive jewelry should not be brought to school. Jewelry must be removable for PE class
CONSEQUENCE FOR UNIFORM/DRESS CODE VIOLATIONS:
IF THE CHILD COMES TO SCHOOL WITHOUT A UNIFORM THE PARENT WILL BE CALLED TO BRING IN A UNIFORM TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM.
